Monica Colucci: Principled Leadership For UTD

Monica Colucci is running for Miami-Dade County Public School (MDCPS) Board - District 8.

Her campaign is based on her accolades as a veteran Miami-Dade County Public School teacher & United Teachers of Dade (UTD) member. 

She has also secured endorsements from extremist groups like Moms For Liberty Miami, which is run by an unlicensed mental health care professional. 

As a 26-year veteran teacher & UTD member, Mrs. Colucci should be well versed in the CODE OF ETHICS for all MDCPS Permanent Personnel.

Back in 2000, Monica Colucci helped create a DOMESTIC FOR PROFIT CORPORATION; Eagles Social Committee, INC. 

The address listed was 8375 S.W. 16 Street (Miami, FL 33155)

YES...The same address as Everglades K-8 Center. 

The same school Mrs. Colucci has spent her teaching career. 

The same school in 2001, where Mrs. Colucci was named Teacher of the Year.

Can we say conflict of interest? MDCPS employees are funded thru taxpayer money. How Mrs. Colucci thought it was appropriate to create a FOR-PROFIT Corporation using a Miami-Dade County Public SCHOOL as The Principal/Mailing address is more than suspicious.

Eagles Social Committee, INC. was created for the purpose of, "Faculty and staff education training & development."

Since when does a teacher have the authority to create a FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION, using a Miami-Dade County School (where she is employed) to provide "education training & development" to teachers?!

Not only is this a CODE OF ETHICS violation, but this is very disturbing. 

Personal Advertisements. An employee shall not advertise business or professional activities on school property or use schoolwork hours, property or services to perform or promote personal, not for profit, or commercial enterprises or to campaign or raise money for any candidates for political office.

Did Eagles Social Committee, INC. receive approval from the Miami-Dade County School Board to provide training & material to teachers? 

What training & materials were provided (if ANY) to these "teachers"? 

How much profit did Eagles Social Committee, INC. earn? 

So many lingering questions.

Unfortunately, the years of corruption from MDCPS employees have been covered up & swept away equally by UTD & MDCPS - School Board Members at our children's expense. 

A 26-year educator and teacher at Everglades K-8 Center, she said on her campaign website that she has “seen firsthand the detrimental impact of liberal policies being implemented in local schools throughout the country,” and that the “current school board member has either supported or stood idly by as progressive activists and special interests seek to promote socialist curriculums [sic] and ideologies in our schools.”

Well, Monica are you including the fraudulent FOR-PROFIT Corporation you created at Everglades K-8 Center in that bold statement? 

The candidate also served as the special assistant to the lieutenant governor in the DeSantis administration from February 2019 to August 2020, according to her website. The approach has already garnered support from top Republican officials, too. The future Senate President’s PAC has donated $1,000 to her campaign, records show.

Serving as a special assistant to Lieutenant Governor Janet Nunez sounded like the opportune time to expose the "detrimental impact of liberal policies". 

If Mrs. Collucci was not able to use her knowledge to help advocate for change while working in the DeSantis administration, how can we believe her now? You can not.

Voting for Monica Colucci is just a replacement vote for another special interest representative & a UTD teacher. Our children deserve better.

Karen Baez-Wallis: For Miami-Dade County Commissioner District 8

The Service Employees International Union (SEIU1991), represents 5,000 healthcare workers in Jackson Memorial Hospital including Karen Baez-Wallis.

Mrs. Baez-Wallis, a Registered Nurse with more than 25 years of dedicated healthcare experience is running for the District 8 Commission seat. 

Lawyers, real estate agents, & career politicians have always held seats as Miami-Dade County Commissioners, but never a public servant like Karen Baez-Wallis.

During the COIVD vaccine rollout, SEIU’s YouTube page ran a promotional video, “Give It A Shot - Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins”. 

This was released on February 23, 2021.

Instead of SEIU using a healthcare professional such as Karen Baez-Willis, a Jackson Health System employee/SEIU member who actually cared for COVID patients. Oddly this Union representing our most dedicated healthcare workers choose to team up with Danielle Cohen-Higgins, an attorney to advocate for the COVID vaccine.

On June 24, 2022, SEIU released its “Florida 2022 Endorsement Roll Out”. At no surprise, SEIU decided to endorse Mrs. Cohen-Higgins, the currently appointed District 8 Commissioner.

“In May 2019, Cohen Higgins filed to run for Levine Cava’s seat in anticipation of a potential Special Election for the seat. But after Levine Cava’s Nov. 3 victory, the Miami-Dade County Commission opted to appoint a replacement in District 8, citing the $1 million-plus cost for a Special Election.”

Danielle Cohen-Higgins is an attorney with extensive experience in complex commercial litigation. 

“She began her legal career at one of the nation’s largest and most prestigious law firms, Greenberg Traurig, where she gained extensive experience in complex commercial civil litigation.”  

Not surprisingly, an ethics complaint was brought up in March 2022 about resolution 88-21 a construction project that Mrs. Higgins-Cohen has strongly advocated for since being appointed to her Commissioner seat. 

Mrs. Cohen-Higgins also secured an endorsement from Ruth's List, the only organization in the state of Florida to provide free structural support to pro-choice Democratic women candidates.

Ruth's List is the same organization that welcomed Mrs. Cohen-Higgins in 2018 to its executive committee.

Mrs. Cohen-Higgins has made the most of her time as District 8 Commissioner by securing her status as Crypto-Queen.

"Commissioner Cohen Higgins will present a plan on January 20, 2021, before the Board of County Commissioners urging our County Mayor Daniella Levine-Cava to spearhead measures on both the local and state level to attract headquarter relocation. In partnership with the Board of County Commissioners and the Mayor, she seeks to create an economic development plan to attract the technology industry from Silicon Valley to relocate its headquarters to Miami-Dade County."

The Children's Trust: Taxpayer Funded Indoctrination

In 2006 The Children's Trust was established in Miami-Dade County with taxpayer funds. It is an independently run group funding kids' programs through a property tax collected in Miami-Dade County. 

"The Children's Trust is a dedicated source of revenue established by voter referendum to improve the lives of children and families in Miami-Dade County by making strategic investments in their future"

Fraud & corruption seemingly go hand-in-hand with any type of taxpayer program. 

The Children's Trust is no exception. 

Back in April of 2015, The Children's Trust was widely criticized for not properly helping the minority communities for which it was established. (The Children's Trust Needs to Better Serve Kids in Miami's Black Community)

"The reality is the trust is not helping many of the poorest kids in Miami-Dade. Thousands of African-American children in Liberty City and Overtown are being largely ignored. Of the 88 groups approved for funding, only 13 are based in African-American neighborhoods. Those organizations account for just $5.1 million of the $25.1 million in after-school and summer care funding the trust is doling out in 2015."

"The Trust started its own political action committee in 2006 to persuade taxpayers to keep it alive. More than $500,000 in campaign funds were paid to a company run by national pollster Sergio Bendixen to buy ads to make sure the public passed the Trust's big budget."

"These days, homeowners pay an average of $45 per year. Yet those homeowners have no say in how the money is spent or who serves on the board. Members are appointed by a bevy of groups and individuals, from the governor to the county commission."

As recently as 2021, The Miami-Dade Commission on Ethic & Public Trust conducted an investigation into The Children's Trust board members & conflict of interest in a contract agreement. 

Some board members are also employed by Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

"As to TCT board members Magaly Abrahante, Tiombe Bisa Kendrick-Dunn, Richard Dunn, Dorothy Bendross-Mindingall- they are employees or officers of M-DCPS. M- DCPS is receiving funding through this Resolution."

In 2020, Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office filed charges against former Children’s Trust grant recipient, United Martial Arts Academy, Inc. (UMAA), & its Program Director, Kelly Regalado. The charges were filed after a joint investigation with the Office of the Inspector General (OIG). They were also charged with the third-degree felony of Communications Fraud. In all, they are accused of stealing almost $300,000 from the Children’s Trust via fraudulent billing practices.

So who helped create The Children's Trust? Founding member & former Florida Senator Rene Garcia is a healthcare lobbyist who also describes himself as "an activist for KidCare", a federal-state-funded health insurance program for children. Oddly, Mr. Garcia has no children yet has unlimited ties to the healthcare industry as a lobbyist. Currently, he is Commissioner for Miami-Dade County District 13 & The President of The Miami Republican Party.

Let's take a look at some of the programs that The Children's Trust is promoting with Miami-Dade's taxpayer money.

Transgender topics are promoted to children using taxpayers' funds. Not just on their website, but thru Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

Radical Marxist/anti-Israel activists Hawa Adam & Kiran Waqar who work with The Students For Justice in “Palestine” (SJP) & Black Lives Matter are also being promoted thru The Children's Trust with taxpayer money. 

While Miami GOP President Rene Garcia speaks out against Black Lives Matter, he has no issues with The Children's Trust promoting this ideology. 

In the statement, Miami GOP Chairman Rene Garcia “vehemently” denounced the Black Lives Matter remarks, calling them “uneducated and egregious.” 

• The Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) 

“Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) is a network of pro-Palestinian student groups across the US which disseminate anti-Israel propaganda often laced with inflammatory and at times combative rhetoric. They are a leading campus organizer of Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) campaigns against Israel, and specialize in using confrontational tactics such as disrupting student-run pro-Israel events, and constructing mock “apartheid walls” and distributing fake “eviction notices” to dramatize what they consider Israeli abuses of Palestinians.”

• Black Lives Matter, is led by trained Marxists who have aligned themselves with the “Palestine” movement to call for the destruction of America & Israel. 

“Ongoing demonstrations across the United States have reenergized the intersectional solidarity between those protesting anti-Black racism in America and BDS organizations’ demands to “Free Palestine from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea”– a clarion call to dismantle the State of Israel.”

Dade Correctional Institution: Sexual Predator

The Florida Department of Corrections motto is, "You never walk alone". In reality, once you walk inside a state correctional facility, you are truly alone.

Dade Correctional Institution (DCI) is a Level 5 state prison in Florida with the largest in-patient mental health units. 

Housed are the most dangerous high-profile convicted felons in the entire United States.

In 2016, DCI in-patient mental health unit Inmate Caprio, Fernandito DC# X81705 attempted to sexually assault a female Correctional Officer while she was conducting a security check. Inmate Caprio stalked & planned his attack with 1 goal, to rape this Correctional Officer.

Inmate Caprio was almost successful. Inmates that heard this Correctional Officer's screams are the ones who rescued her from what would have been a horrific sexual assault. (A Scandalous and Sad Story of Florida Inmate William Westervelt )

Even though The Florida Department of Corrections Inspector General recommended: 

784.07 (1)(d) Florida statutes, Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer

Inmate Caprio, Fernandito WAS NEVER CHARGED for this assault.

So many violent convicted felons who still continue to commit crimes while incarcerated are never held accountable by The Florida Department of Corrections. 

By ignoring & tolerating violent behavior, The Florida Department of Corrections is continuously putting the safety of all Correctional staff at risk.
