The Children's Trust: Taxpayer Funded Indoctrination

In 2006 The Children's Trust was established in Miami-Dade County with taxpayer funds. It is an independently run group funding kids' programs through a property tax collected in Miami-Dade County. 

"The Children's Trust is a dedicated source of revenue established by voter referendum to improve the lives of children and families in Miami-Dade County by making strategic investments in their future"

Fraud & corruption seemingly go hand-in-hand with any type of taxpayer program. 

The Children's Trust is no exception. 

Back in April of 2015, The Children's Trust was widely criticized for not properly helping the minority communities for which it was established. (The Children's Trust Needs to Better Serve Kids in Miami's Black Community)

"The reality is the trust is not helping many of the poorest kids in Miami-Dade. Thousands of African-American children in Liberty City and Overtown are being largely ignored. Of the 88 groups approved for funding, only 13 are based in African-American neighborhoods. Those organizations account for just $5.1 million of the $25.1 million in after-school and summer care funding the trust is doling out in 2015."

"The Trust started its own political action committee in 2006 to persuade taxpayers to keep it alive. More than $500,000 in campaign funds were paid to a company run by national pollster Sergio Bendixen to buy ads to make sure the public passed the Trust's big budget."

"These days, homeowners pay an average of $45 per year. Yet those homeowners have no say in how the money is spent or who serves on the board. Members are appointed by a bevy of groups and individuals, from the governor to the county commission."

As recently as 2021, The Miami-Dade Commission on Ethic & Public Trust conducted an investigation into The Children's Trust board members & conflict of interest in a contract agreement. 

Some board members are also employed by Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

"As to TCT board members Magaly Abrahante, Tiombe Bisa Kendrick-Dunn, Richard Dunn, Dorothy Bendross-Mindingall- they are employees or officers of M-DCPS. M- DCPS is receiving funding through this Resolution."

In 2020, Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office filed charges against former Children’s Trust grant recipient, United Martial Arts Academy, Inc. (UMAA), & its Program Director, Kelly Regalado. The charges were filed after a joint investigation with the Office of the Inspector General (OIG). They were also charged with the third-degree felony of Communications Fraud. In all, they are accused of stealing almost $300,000 from the Children’s Trust via fraudulent billing practices.

So who helped create The Children's Trust? Founding member & former Florida Senator Rene Garcia is a healthcare lobbyist who also describes himself as "an activist for KidCare", a federal-state-funded health insurance program for children. Oddly, Mr. Garcia has no children yet has unlimited ties to the healthcare industry as a lobbyist. Currently, he is Commissioner for Miami-Dade County District 13 & The President of The Miami Republican Party.

Let's take a look at some of the programs that The Children's Trust is promoting with Miami-Dade's taxpayer money.

Transgender topics are promoted to children using taxpayers' funds. Not just on their website, but thru Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

Like lots of little girls, Jazz Jennings loved dressing up in her big sister’s clothes, putting on makeup and playing with dolls. But because she was born a boy on the outside, many people – including her family – didn’t know why. Eventually, they came to understand that Jazz was transgender, meaning that even though she was assigned male at birth, she has always been a girl. And with the support of her family, friends and community, Jazz has been able to grow up as the girl she always knew she was. Others like her haven’t been as fortunate.

Radical Marxist/anti-Israel activists Hawa Adam & Kiran Waqar who work with The Students For Justice in “Palestine” (SJP) & Black Lives Matter are also being promoted thru The Children's Trust with taxpayer money. 

While Miami GOP President Rene Garcia speaks out against Black Lives Matter, he has no issues with The Children's Trust promoting this ideology. 

In the statement, Miami GOP Chairman Rene Garcia “vehemently” denounced the Black Lives Matter remarks, calling them “uneducated and egregious.” 

• The Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) 

“Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) is a network of pro-Palestinian student groups across the US which disseminate anti-Israel propaganda often laced with inflammatory and at times combative rhetoric. They are a leading campus organizer of Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) campaigns against Israel, and specialize in using confrontational tactics such as disrupting student-run pro-Israel events, and constructing mock “apartheid walls” and distributing fake “eviction notices” to dramatize what they consider Israeli abuses of Palestinians.”

• Black Lives Matter, is led by trained Marxists who have aligned themselves with the “Palestine” movement to call for the destruction of America & Israel. 

“Ongoing demonstrations across the United States have reenergized the intersectional solidarity between those protesting anti-Black racism in America and BDS organizations’ demands to “Free Palestine from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea”– a clarion call to dismantle the State of Israel.”

Dade Correctional Institution: Sexual Predator

The Florida Department of Corrections motto is, "You never walk alone". In reality, once you walk inside a state correctional facility, you are truly alone.

Dade Correctional Institution (DCI) is a Level 5 state prison in Florida with the largest in-patient mental health units. 

Housed are the most dangerous high-profile convicted felons in the entire United States.

In 2016, DCI in-patient mental health unit Inmate Caprio, Fernandito DC# X81705 attempted to sexually assault a female Correctional Officer while she was conducting a security check. Inmate Caprio stalked & planned his attack with 1 goal, to rape this Correctional Officer.

Inmate Caprio was almost successful. Inmates that heard this Correctional Officer's screams are the ones who rescued her from what would have been a horrific sexual assault. (A Scandalous and Sad Story of Florida Inmate William Westervelt )

Even though The Florida Department of Corrections Inspector General recommended: 

784.07 (1)(d) Florida statutes, Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer

Inmate Caprio, Fernandito WAS NEVER CHARGED for this assault.

So many violent convicted felons who still continue to commit crimes while incarcerated are never held accountable by The Florida Department of Corrections. 

By ignoring & tolerating violent behavior, The Florida Department of Corrections is continuously putting the safety of all Correctional staff at risk.
